Djokovic had to play his best tennis.

Novak Djokovic, world number 3, won against world number 34 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina by 3-0 sets, but the match lasted more than 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The Serbian won the 1st two sets after tiebreaks as each of these sets was played for 1 hour and 25 minutes. The Spaniard had a chance to win both sets, but Djokovic showed why he is the best player in history and, with his experience, ended up winning them.

Nole won 6-2 in the 3rd set as he broke Fokina’s serve twice and a lot harder than expected, closing the match in straight sets.

The Serbian will face Varillas or Hurkacz in the 1/8 finals at Roland-Garros.
