Cameron Norrie breeze past Lucas Pouille in straight sets 6-1, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the French Open third round on Wednesday.
Norrie established an early edge and never let his foot of the gas as he crushed all hopes the Frenchman might have had.
A lightning first set was followed with 2 easily controlled ones to claim victory.
“I feel good – there have been ups and downs recently but I have a great team around me,” Norrie said.
“We really want to play well at the Grand Slams. I definitely improved my game and performance from the first round and enjoyed the match more.”
“I’m happy to be through.”
The only remaining British player will face either 17th seed Lorenzo Musetti or Alexander Shevchenko in quest of reaching the last 16 at the Roland Garros for the first time in his career.
