Lando Norris was full of praise for his team McLaren as the orange cars managed to convert a 2nd-place start to a 2nd-place finish at the British Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Woking team introduced updates on both of their cars and that gave an immediate effect as both Norris and rookie Oscar Piastri were the closest challengers to race winner Max Verstappen.
“I just want to say a big thanks first of all to the whole team. They’ve done an amazing job and none of this would be possible without the hard work that they’ve been putting in. It’s pretty amazing, pretty insane.” Norris said in a post-race interview.
“It was an amazing fight with Lewis, to hold him off. I made a few too many mistakes, maybe, but I did what I could. I brought the fight to Max for as long as possible. It’s a long, lonely race when you’re just in the middle, but it’s amazing.”
With the result McLaren have jumped Alpine and are now 5th in the Standings, 12 points ahead of the French team.
