Lando Norris has played down McLaren chances of repeatin their excellent result from Silverstone at the Hungaroring.
The orange car have made a huge leap in performance after introducing new upgrades to both cars in Great Britain.
However, Norris stated that the team needs to stay focused and not to get carried away from the success.
“I feel good. I always feel good coming off a podium,” he said. “I had a weekend for it all to sink in, just to make the most of it, you know? A nice weekend off, a week of celebrating, and a week of relaxing, making sure we are ready for this weekend.”
“We’re not terrible. If you fully focus on slow-speed, we’re not too bad. If you look at Monaco, we’re not too bad in Monaco. I guess when you have to start to make compromises, there are much bigger wins for us in high-speed than focusing so much on low speed.”
With McLaren’s resurgence in form they are now competing with Alpine for 5th in the Constructors and may even have a shot at Aston Martin in Ferrari some time in the future.
