However, Nottingham tied the result in the 62nd minute when former Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi netted after Taiwo Awoniyi’s assist.
Lyle Foster scored in the 77th minute to give the away team the lead again, but VAR disallowed the goal because of a handball.
In the added time, Lyle Foster hit a Forest player without a ball and received a direct red card after the referee looked at the situation again with VAR.
Nottingham is in 8th place with 7 points after 5 matches, while Burnley is in 19th place with only 1 point after 4 games.
