The Denver team put out a well-managed, disciplined performance

The Denver Nuggets came out victorious 120-111 in their Game 3 of the first-round playoffs against Minnesota Timberwolves to make it a sweeping 3-0 overall on Friday night.

Nikola Jokic was once again at peak form as the Serb nestled 20 points, along with 11 rebounds and 12 assists. He also achieved his seventh career triple-double.

“We didn’t want to give them life,” said Jokic after the game, “We wanted to be the aggressor. We wanted to punch them first.”

Michael Porter Jr. scored 25 points, while Jamal Murray added another 18 points, along with 9 assists.

“Proud of the group,” Nuggets coach Mike Malone said. “They handled their business like they’re supposed to, like mature teams do.”

Edwards had an impressive game for the Timberwolves as he bagged 36 points to raise his tally in the series up to 95. Karl-Anthony Towns had 27 points, while Rudy Gobert added another 18, along with 10 rebounds.

Overall, the Minnesota team played well, but mistakes in defense and some rushed decision in attack cost the the game.

“Our decision-making on offense just kind of let us down,” head-coach Chris Finch said.
