Denver Nuggets wrote history and clinched their first NBA title as they beat Miami Heat 94-89 in Game 5 to wrap up the series with 4-1.
Denver were simply amazing in the play-offs, losing just four games in their way to the title – once from Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat and twice from Phoenix Suns.

Once again Denver were pulled to victory by Nikola Jokic who scored 28 points, adding 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Jimmy Butler was the best on the court for Heat with 21 points, but it was far from enough to top Nuggets.
Heat was looking at the win at half-time after two very good quarters and Miami was leading 51:44 at the break.

Afterwards, though, Jokic turned up the “heat” and helped his team turn the game around with amazing 3rd and 4th quarters (26:20, 24:18).
