Denver Nuggets forward Vlatko Cancar got a surgery on his left knee and will stay out of action indefinitely, the club announced.
Cancar suffered a torn ACL injury during a preparation game of his Slovenia against Greece earlier this month.
“Nuggets forward Vlatko Cancar underwent surgical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is out indefinitely and additional updates will be provided as necessary.”, the club announced.
Cancar got injured when he awkwardly landed on the floor following a dunk and left the court in serious pain. A day afterward Slovenia announced that the 26-year-old player tore his ACL and will definitely miss the 2023 World Cup.
