Flick was fired by the DFB after their 4-1 loss to Japan on September 9th, leaving the Euro 2024 hosts with the astonishing task of being prepared and in top form for the upcoming tournament.
The German football federation announced their new manager’s contract runs until July 31, 2024, after the country hosts Euro 2024.
“We have European competition in Germany. That’s something phenomenal — something that happens very rarely,” Nagelsmann shared after his appointment.
“I will do everything I can to prepare the team for a great Euro in an exceptional country. I’m really proud that I was chosen to take on this challenge.”
Julian was fired by the Bavarian club in March and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
