Ohio State QB Kyle McCord, who was QB1 during the campaign for the school, listed his name on the transfer portal today.
Kyle, who is in his 3rd season with Ohio State, became the starting quarterback early in the campaign after his competition was Devin Brown. Recruited by manager Ryan Day, he had waited 2 campaigns behind C.J. Stroud, now the Houston Texans’ QB1, after joining the Buckeyes as number 31 prospect in the 2021 selection.

The Philly-born QB had 3,170 passing yards with 24 TD passes and 6 picks while completing over 65% of his passes. Kyle eclipsed 300 passing yards 3 times but also 2 times threw 2 picks, including in the regular campaign finale, a 30-24 defeat against Michigan that resulted in the school missing the playoffs for the 2nd time in 3 seasons.
