André Onana has a high chance of being part of Cameroon’s lineup for Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations group match vs. holders Senegal after returning to practice with the team today.
Andre missed Cameroon’s opening match of the competition in the Ivory Coast 2 days ago after he was allowed to stay with the Red Devils and compete in their 2-2 draw against Tottenham in the Premier League the past weekend.
Onana flew by charter plane overnight to join his national team after the match at Old Trafford but only arrived moments before his nation’s opening game of Group C vs. Guinea, in which Cameroon came from behind to win a point after 1-1.
“It’s like choosing between my father and my mother, but Comeroon comes 1st; that’s why I’m at the tournament,” Onana revealed.
“Let fans continue to criticize me. It’s not something new to me. I do what is in the best interest of Cameroon,” Andrea claimed.
