The 1st half finished without goals as the Gunners had a good chance at the beginning of the match, while the Sky Blues answered in the end of the half, but neither situation led to a goal.
The crucial moment in the final came in the 60th minute when Kepa Arrizabalaga made a huge mistake as he gifted the ball to Nico O’Reilly, who scored after an hour.
Only 4 minutes later, Matheus Nunes with a phenomenal cross found Nico O’Reilly in the box, and he scored his 2nd goal in the match to make his team a huge favorite for the victory.
Until the end, the Gunners had a few chances, but failed to score any, and Manchester City won the EFL Cup.
