FULL respect to Brady, I really appreciate him not pandering here, but at the same time bro… it’s been 6 years and we’re looking worse/as bad as November this year, fucking dial in and be better (he’s been great tbf) #GoSensGo pic.twitter.com/NNuRrHkzMp— Jammy AKA SensBuzz 🐝 (@SensBuzz) November 5, 2023
His franchise lost against the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-4, as that was Ottawa’s 4th straight defeat at their venue, dropping their record to 4-6 on the campaign.
Supporters booed the players off the ice and even chanted that they wanted manager D.J. Smith to be fired in the 2nd period.
Tkachuk shared with the media after the defeat that he is frustrated by that.
“It’s disappointing, and whenever you don’t triumph, it’s that feeling,” the Senators captain claimed. “It’s not great, the negativity from the outside, the booing and the chanting from our fans tonight.”
“I know they’re passionate supporters, and I understand that they want us to win, but when you face adversity, you don’t turn your back on your team.”
