The Florida Panthers repeated as Stanley Cup champs by defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6, becoming the National Hockey League’s 1st back-to-back winners since Tampa Bay in 2020 and ’21 and the 3rd franchise to achieve it this century.
Sam Reinhart notched 4 goals, becoming just the 6th player in NHL history and 1st since Maurice Richard in 1957 to get that many in a match in the final. His 3rd to finish his hat-trick sent rats, along with hats, flying onto the ice. Matthew Tkachuk, 1 of the leaders of the Panthers, notched the Cup clincher.

Sergei Bobrovsky saved 28 of 29 shots as the only goal that he allowed came from fellow Russian Vasily Podkolzin in garbage time, and his team had secured the title in a campaign that featured Alex Ovechkin’s milestone as the all-time leading goal scorer.
“I love this cup as much as the 1st one,” Reinhart claimed. “We learned some things and played better, and we are champions again.”
“Our team is a dynasty at the moment,” Tkachuk shared. “Three straight seasons at the finals, 2 Stanley Cups. This is a special team.”
