Generational talents Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are making their Final debuts and the Edmonton Oilers have the opportunity to clinch their 1st Stanley Cup since the period of Mark Messier.
Despite that, it’s the Florida Panthers who will play at the series for the title for a 2nd consecutive year, and they enter as the favorites to lift the trophy.
The Panthers opened at -125 to win the Cup, with the Oilers coming in as +105 underdogs.
While Florida was not favored at the beginning of the postseason with odds 10-1, they had been favorites in the series a few times, with the 1st coming during their 2nd-round matchup vs. the Bruins.
Edmonton began the playoffs at +750 to triumph with the Stanley Cup.
NY Rangers – the biggest favorite to win it all – were sent home by the Panthers in the East Conference Finals.
Edmonton superstar McDavid is the favorite to take home the Conn Smythe Trophy for postseason MVP.
