Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young is expected to return as the starter for Sunday’s match at home vs. the Minnesota Vikings, barring a setback with his sprained right ankle in the last days, manager Frank Reich shared today.

Bryce, who didn’t play during the weekend’s 37-27 defeat against the Seahawks, trained alongside his teammates today. It was his 1st training since suffering his injury in a Week 2 defeat to the New Orleans Saints.
The quarterback’s ankle was taped when he showed up for training, but it didn’t affect his ability to train at full pace.
“Most importantly at the moment is to see how he responds tomorrow,” ” the Panthers head coach shared. “Because it was good work today. We have to make sure there are no major problems. But if Young continues that way, I think things are on the right track for him to play on Sunday.”
