Jordan Eberle, Vince Dunn, and Oliver Bjorkstrand notched for the Kraken, which 2 times came from behind to even the match. Philipp Grubauer saved all 3 Boston shootout attempts, the last of which was by David.
“Pastrnak came in way slower than in the match,” Grubauer shared. “So (he had) a little bit more time to move in the penalties. But this guy can do so many things. You don’t expect them to do the same thing 2 times.”
It was the Bruins’ 6th consecutive match that went to overtime. By gaining 1 point, Boston (34-12-14) evened Vancouver for most points in the league at 82.
After being defeated in the final 3 matches on a 1-0-3 road trip, the Bruins are 2-2-5 in its last 9 games.
“If you see how many points we won, it’s a good trip. But it doesn’t feel like that right now,” admitted Pastrnak, who evened the score late in the 3rd period.”
