The 35-year-old still has a one year left in his contract, which the Lightning will cover in $1m salary cap.
Wild will be Maroon’s sixth NHL team, with the veteran capping 729 career matches, where he scored 117 times and had 288 points and 930 penalty minutes.
Last season, however, the 35-year-old was unimpressive notching only 5 goals, 14 points and 150 penalty minutes for the Lightning.
He will step in the place of Ryan Reaves, whom the Wild lost to Toronto Maple Leafs in free agency.
