In tomorrow’s final, Jessica, world number 3, will play for the trophy against Elena Rybakina or Liudmila Samsonova.
The American, appearing for 3rd straight time in the Canadian Open ½ finals, converted 11 breaks and was better in the crucial moments during the game to triumph 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-4 and will have the chance to win the trophy in Montreal for the 1st time in her career.
“Swiatek always makes it tough, but I’m incredibly happy and satisfied to defeat the world number 1, and that will give me extra confidence for the match for the trophy on Sunday and even for the upcoming months,” Jessica shared after 1 of the biggest victories of her career.
