Formula 1 will host its next round in Monaco, the slowest, shortest and most technical circuit on the calendar.
That may see a significant swing in teams’ performances as it has often done in the past.
Red Bull due have expressed their concern that this will be the case for them as the circuit will not, at least on paper, allow to fulfill the RB19 full potential.
“We certainly know it’s not our strongest circuit,” said last year’s winner Sergi Perez. “We will struggle a bit to show our strengths, but it’s still Monaco.
Max Verstappen shared a similar point of view, emphasizing the importance of Saturday’s qualifying.
“We’ve not been, let’s say, very dominant in qualifying,” the double World Champion said. “We have always been very good in the race, but in the race here we know we can’t pass.
So far Red Bull have bagged all 5 races of the 2023 season with the team securing a 1-2 on three occasions. They will be looking to increase that number and continue their incredible run of form.
