If he decides to do so, Corey Perry will have 2 months from when his deal is terminated to file a grievance vs. the Chicago Blackhawks.
Sources can’t confirm at this stage if Corey, whose contract can be terminated upon him clearing waivers today, will choose to file a grievance vs. the NHL organization that he is still part of.
“Chicago initiated the termination of that deal yesterday by placing him on unconditional waivers. That can become fact as soon as today,” a sports journalist revealed on Insider Trading. “During this time, there’s an opportunity the player could have a grievance over this decision. That is something he has 2 months to choose if he wants to do, and, during this time, it is still unclear if Perry would like to file a grievance against the Blackhawks or not.”
