The contract aligns Morey contractually with his new manager, Nick Nurse.
Daryl has led the franchise to a .653 regular-campaign winning percentage in his 3-plus years as president of basketball operations, featuring a 16-7 start to the 2023-24 campaign.
Morey realized an early-campaign trade to get out of the organization’s unhappy James Harden and exchanged him for assets from the Los Angeles Clippers as the Sixers are expected to use the available resources to sign elite players that will help Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to win the trophy.
The franchise has reached the East Conference ½ finals in each of his 1st 3 campaigns. He became president of basketball operations in Philadelphia after spending 14 years as Houston Rockets general manager.
