The Philadelphia Flyers shared that the franchise decided to elevate Alyn McCauley to assistant GM. In addition, Riley Armstrong will be the new director of player growth, and Nick Schultz will be his assistant in the player growth department.
The Flyers also dismissed Mike O’Connell, John Riley, and Kjell Samuelsson from their jobs within the team.
The Flyers have promoted Alyn McCauley to Assistant General Manager, Riley Armstrong to Director of Player Development and Nick Schultz to Assistant Director of Player Development, according to General Manager Daniel Briere.

McCauley is entering his 7th year with the Philly franchise. His former positions within the organization were as a pro scout and director of player personnel. Before that, Alyn was a pro scout for 9 years with the Los Angeles Kings and saw the Californian NHL franchise triumph with the Stanley Cup twice during his time with them – in 2012 and 2014.
