Greedy inked a 1-year deal during the offseason but could not climb up the depth chart during the training camp. Williams appeared in the past 3 campaigns with the Cleveland Browns, starting 21 matches.
The NFL organization also waived CB Zech McPhearson and receiver Tyrie Cleveland with injury designations. Tyrie suffered a concussion and neck injury in a preseason match a few days ago vs. Cleveland, while Zech will be unavailable for the upcoming season with torn ACL.
Cleveland, who left the match with a cart, will receive all his money, and the Eagles’ medical staff will take full care of him as the release is just procedural, and Philly thinks he’ll go unclaimed and revert to its injured reserve list.
At the same time, Eagles inked DTs Robert Cooper, Marvin Wilson, Caleb Sanders, and LBs Tyreek Maddox-Williams and Quinton Bell.
