The Philadelphia team ran riot and are putting Arizona to the sword

The Philadelphia Phillies cruised past the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-1 in Game 5 of the NL Championship series to take a 3-2 lead overall and edge closer to qualification on Saturday night.

The Phillies were in total control all throughout and never looked like losing. Zack Wheeler had a fantastic performance, notching 7 shutdown innings, while Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto all homered.

Bryson Stott hit an RBI single and Harper slid home in a collision with catcher Gabriel Moreno as part of a double steal that built a 2-0 lead in the first off Zac Gallen, who had 2 hits, 3 runs and a long homer.

Schwarber’s sixth-inning drive traveled 461 feet over the swimming pool beyond the right-center fence and two batters later, Harper hit a 444-foot homer into the right-field seats. Realmuto added a two-run homer in the eighth against Luis Frías for the final 6-1 scoreline.
