Milwaukee Bucks left 76ers now chance in Philly, winning 124-109

In a thrilling night of NBA action, the Phoenix Suns edged out the Los Angeles Clippers 116-113 in overtime, while the Milwaukee Bucks secured a comfortable 124-109 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

In Los Angeles, the highly anticipated game at the Clippers’ new arena, the Intuit Dome, did not disappoint. The first quarter was a closely contested battle, with the Suns holding a slim 23-22 lead. The Suns extended their advantage in the second quarter, going into halftime up 47-39.

However, the Clippers mounted a strong comeback in the third quarter, overtaking the Suns and entering the final period with a 2-point lead. With the score tied at 103-103 at the end of regulation, the game headed to overtime, where the Suns outscored the Clippers 13-10 to seal the victory.

Kevin Durant led the Suns with 25 points and 7 rebounds in 44 minutes, while Bradley Beal added 24 points in 38 minutes. Despite a standout performance from Clippers star James Harden, who posted a near triple-double with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists in 40 minutes, the Clippers fell short in overtime.

Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, the Milwaukee Bucks started their season with a commanding win over the 76ers. After a tight first quarter, with the 76ers leading 23-22, the Bucks took control in the second quarter, building an 11-point halftime lead at 58-47. Milwaukee continued to dominate in the third quarter, further extending their lead. Although the 76ers pushed hard in the final period, they couldn’t overcome the deficit.

Damian Lillard led the Bucks with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in his debut with the team, while Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed a double-double with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. For Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxey put up 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, but the absence of star center Joel Embiid, sidelined with an injury, was felt as the 76ers struggled against one of their main Eastern Conference rivals.
