The Steelers player blamed outside factors for the loss.

Though the Cleveland Browns ended the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 5-match winning streak with a 24-19 victory on TNF, Pittsburgh WR George Pickens downplayed his opponent’s abilities and blamed the defeat on the weather as show was pouring during the match.

“The snow played a huge, huge part in today’s match,” the wide receiver claimed. “In my opinion, the Cleveland Browns are not a good organization at all. I believe the conditions helped them a lot today.”

George had the chance to make a late TD catch, but he shared that he and Wilson couldn’t connect in the end zone because of the weather.

“The snow, the conditions limited us a lot,” Pickens added. “I don’t even think the quarterback could see sometimes. And when you play in a weather like that, at the opponents’ home stadium, they have a huge advantage.”

The Steelers wide receiver, who finished with 4 catches on 7 targets for 48 yards, also blamed the referees for the defeat. Pickets was unhappy with referees not calling pass interference on CB Martin Emerson Jr. during a deep 3rd-down attempt from Justin Fields in the 4th quarter, showing his anger after the play.
