AC Milan management is still not thinking about firing team coach Stefano Pioli, despite the bad results since October. The Rossoneri are last in their Champions League group and have very slim chances of advancing to the knock out rounds.
In Serie A the team is not doing much better either. Despite having very good start of the season, Milan is now third, but miles away from league leaders Juventus and Inter, as their city rival is 9 points ahead of the Rossoneri.
This came after Milan’s 2-3 loss away to Atalanta on Satuday – their first defeat away this season, but also third game in a row away from San Siro where they failed to win.

Milan owner Gerry Cardinale as well as team sports director Giorgio Furlani showed their full confidence in Pioli, but according to Italian media, there could be talks over the coach’s future after their last Champions League game. On Tuesday Milan will visit Newcastle in direct battle for at least third place in the group. If Pioli fails to qualify the team to Europa League at least, his position could be in danger.
