Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has shared that defender Ben Chilwell suffered an awful injury during the club’s Carabao Cup victory vs. Brighton during the week.
The North London side, who have triumphed just 1 time in the league so far this campaign, secured a much-needed win for the cup, but the result came at a cost when Ben left the pitch in the 2nd half with a hamstring problem.

“In my opinion, it is bad news; what the doctor shared with me is not a good thing. It looks like a bad injury, so that we will assess in the next couple of days, and we will see the period Chilwell will need to recover and be away from the squad,” the manager revealed in a news conference ahead of Chelsea’s league’s game vs. Fulham on Monday.
“Chilwell has our full support, and we regret that this happened to him. The time that he needs to recover is hard to say now. The doctor will tell us, and the side will announce.”
