The Dallas Cowboys and RB Tony Pollard are very far from reaching an agreement on a long-term deal before Monday’s deadline for organizations’ players to agree on long-term deals.
Can confirm multiple reports that #Cowboys RB Tony Pollard is expected to play on the 10.1M franchise tag signed back in March. Interestingly enough, when I asked how far apart both sides were….a source tells me there wasn’t an extensive discussion about a long term deal.

Tony is 1 of 3 players – all RBs – who received the organization tag and still haven’t reached a long-term deal. Unlike Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs, Pollard has inked his organization tender, worth almost 10 million dollars, for the upcoming campaign and was part of the Dallas off-season training camp.
The 3 players have until 4 p.m. ET Monday to sign new contracts.
Tony will be Dallas’s most important RB this campaign after the franchise released Ezekiel Elliott this offseason. He shared in May that he thinks he will be fully ready to practice in the offseason program after having a procedure to repair an ankle injury he suffered in the Cowboys’ postseason defeat against the San Francisco 49ers in January.
