New Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has expressed his frustration regarding the ongoing uncertainty about his main player Harry Kane’s future.
Kane is currently in his final year of his contract and that has triggered the interest of plenty of top tier teams, most notably Bayern Munich.
The Bavarians have made couple of offers worth around £70m, but they were all dismissed by chairman Daniel Levy.
That has left a cloud of uncertainty over Kane’s future and the new Spurs boss was quick to share his opinion about it.
“Fair to say I am not relaxed about it,” said Postecoglou.
“It’s not something where you go: “Ah, well, you know if it does or doesn’t happen.” I mean he’s a very important part of this football club, not just the team, but the football club. He’s such a massive figure.”
“And, whilst my focus isn’t on it on a daily basis because I’ve got other things I need to do, I know that every time I’m talking, or whenever Harry is going to talk, that’s the first question you are going to get. So, you’ve got to deal with it.”
New season starts on August 13 for Spurs with a game against Brentford and who knows where will the 29-year-old future will lie.
