Dak Prescott is one of the starting QBs who will not play any preseason games.
The Dallas QB saw a positive in it, sharing that it has allowed him to put all his attention to Week 1 of the new campaign. Cowboys begin the new season against Giants in New York on September 10th.
“Understanding that I wasn’t on the field in the preseason in the last few weeks allowed me to move forward and watch some of their past matches, our history against them,” the Cowboys quarterback claimed via Nick Harris of the franchise’s website. “You’ve got to be ready. It’s match 1. You want to begin the new campaign victories and get the positive emotions, and when you have more time when you don’t play, you have the opportunity to use it.”
Dak has yet to appear in the preseason since 2019.
