PSG won 2-0 against Borussia Dortmund to kick off their Champions League campaign on a high. The French champion got important three points, which sent them on top of the so called ‘group of death’ in the tournament, as they battle with Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle as the later two finished 0-0 at San Siro earlier on Tuesday.
PSG had some scoring opportunities before the break and came as close to a goal as possible in the 19 minute when Vitinha hit the crossbar.
Right after the half-time interval the home side got a penalty, which Mbappe converted to give his team the lead.
Just nine minutes later Vitinha got an assist, finding Hakimi, who doubled PSG’s lead. In the 79 minute Jamie Bynoe-Gittens received the ball into the box and had a great chance to pull Dortmund back into the game, but hit the left post.
