Late last month, the guard suffered a severe head injury after falling while horse riding and he was hospitalized in serious condition.

“Little by little he is getting better. I knew from the beginning that he would make it because he is a champion,” said Rico’s wife.
The 29-year-old Spaniard did not play a single official match in the 2022/23 season.
