When Brock Purdy became the starter of the organization in 2022, the San Francisco 49ers revealed that he is a franchise QB.
Brock and San Francisco agreed on a 5-year, 265 million dollar deal that features 181 million dollars in overall guaranteed money with the quarterback.
It’s a massive contract for a quarterback with the nickname Mr. Irrelevant for being selected last in the 2022 NFL draft.

Purdy earned less than 3 million dollars in his 1st 3 campaigns in the National Football League, making him the league’s 76th-highest-paid quarterback during that time. His new deal has an average salary of 53 million dollars, meaning he will earn more per week under his new contract than he did in the 1st 3 seasons of his career combined.
The 49ers GM, John Lynch, shared in Florida that a deal will be reached with Brock about a new contract.
“I believe that he will stay with us for a long time,” Lynch shared about Purdy at the end of March.
The quarterback reported for the start of the offseason program last month, a sign that negotiations were going in the right direction, and now everything is official.
