Teddy is expected to sign with Tampa Bay.

Veteran QB Teddy Bridgewater is visiting Tampa today and is expected to ink with the Bucs.

The quarterback, who is 32 years old, played for the last time for the Detroit Lions at the end of 2024, as he came out of retirement to be a reserve for Jared Goff. Bridgewater didn’t play in the regular campaign match. In the postseason, Teddy completed his only pass attempt for 3 yards in a 45-31 defeat vs. the Commanders in the division round.

The veteran QB can help Tampa Bay as Michael Pratt is dealing with a back problem. Starting QB Baker Mayfield resumed training today after missing a few days in the past week, as he left his team with only 2 QBs during that period.

Teddy has experience in the league as he has been part of 6 franchises from 2014 to 2024, having a 33-32 record with 15,120 passing yards and 75 TDs. Bridgewater had been part of the Pro Bowl after an 11-5 campaign with the Vikings.

Teddy retired after a decade in the NFL and became the manager of his high school alma mater, Miami Northwestern, last year. However, in July, he was suspended for allegedly providing impermissible benefits to his footballers.
