Sebastian Aho and Brady Skjei also notched for Carolina to help their team end 3 straight matches without a victory. Raanta played his first game since March 7 and stopped 14 shots to get shutout for the 19th time in his career.
The Canadian team goaltender Sam Montembault saved 47 shots – season high for him, but his team lost for a 3rd straight time.
Joel Armia returned for Montreal after being unable to play in his team’s last 19 matches.
Carolina will face home New York Islanders on Sunday, while Montreal will try to beat again in Canada Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday.
