Meyers is set to earn $11m in 2023 and there is a clause in his contract, that ensures him taking additional $5,5m roster bonus on the third day of the 2024 league year, that is acquired for skill and injury at time of the signing.
Meyers established himself as one of the more prominent receivers in the league with New England. His peak performances came in the 2021 season, when he made 83 receptions and managed 833 receiving yards. In 2022 he made six touchdowns.
The move leaves some questions unanswered – for instance, where do the Raiders plan to use their receivers. With Davante Adams and Meyers starting regularly, does that mean that slot receiver Hunter Renfrow will be sidelined? There is also uncertainty whether Mack Hollins might want to return to the Las Vegas team after Meyers signing.
