NY Rangers captain J.T. Miller shares that he expects an emotional reunion as he will play for the 1st time in Vancouver since Canucks traded him in the past campaign, but neither he nor Elias Pettersson shared what the problem was between them that led to the trade.
“You don’t know what will happen. You can go back in time and change anything,” the Rangers captain claimed. “It is not beautiful sometimes when something finishes, but I believe that for most of the time I was in Vancouver, things were great. I’m not going to think about how the things ended. I knew that it won’t be pretty, and that’s exactly how things went through.”
Miller played 6 years for the Canucks, where J.T. had the best offensive seasons during his time in the NHL (437 points in 404 matches) and inked a 7-year, 56 million dollar deal extension 3 years ago. But his time in Vancouver was cut short after a longstanding personal conflict with Pettersson led to problems in the locker room of the Canadian team.
It's going to be strange to see J.T. Miller in a Rangers jersey on Rogers Arena ice
