Eddie was cut on February 15th by Chicago for the Bears to free up salary cap space.
A 4th-round pick in 2017, the safety started all 100 matches he played in over 7 campaigns with the Bears. Jackson was a 2-time Pro Bowl pick and earned All-Pro honors in 2018 on the Chicago defense that carried the Bears to its latest NFC North title.
A foot problem shortened each of Eddie’s past 3 campaigns. He still appeared in at least 12 matches a year from 2021-22.
The safety (30) has totaled 15 picks, 44 passes defended, 10 forced fumbles and 459 tackles during his time in the NFL. Jackson is evened for 3rd in Chicago organization history with 6 career defensive TDs, 5 of which came in his 1st 2 campaigns.
