In the biggest trade in team history, the Baltimore Ravens are acquiring 5-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders for 2 1st-round selections in the current year and next year.
The exchange is contingent on the defensive end passing a physical, which can’t be arranged until the beginning of the new NFL year in several days.
This marks the 1st time in Baltimore’s 31-year history that they have used a 1st-round selection to make a deal for a veteran footballer. The Ravens had the 14th overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Among the organizations the Baltimore beat for Maxx were the Cowboys, who were ready to offer 1st and a 2nd-round selection for the Raiders’ ex-star, but the Ravens outbid them.
Maxx, who is 28 years old, will need to make a difference to the struggling Baltimore pass rush in the past year, as they totaled 30 sacks, the Ravens’ fewest in 15 seasons. The past campaign was also the 1st time since the organization’s inaugural 1996 season that they didn’t have an ED with at least 5 sacks.
