Real Madrid has made history by surpassing €1 billion ($1.085 billion) in revenue for the 2023-24 season, according to the club’s annual accounts.
Excluding player transfers, the club’s revenue reached €1.073 billion ($1.16 billion), marking a significant 27% increase from the previous year despite ongoing renovations at their stadium.
The club reported a profit of €16 million ($17.3 million) for the fiscal year, with a net worth of €574 million ($623 million) and a net debt of just €8 million ($8.6 million) as of June 30, 2024. Real Madrid claims to be the first football club to exceed €1 billion in revenue.

On the field, Real Madrid enjoyed a successful campaign, securing their sixth Champions League title in a decade, alongside victories in La Liga and the Super Cup. The basketball team also shone, capturing the Spanish league title, the King’s Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup, and reaching the Euroleague finals.
Operating income surged by €230 million ($249 million) compared to the 2022-23 season. The club attributed the revenue increase to growth across various business lines, particularly in marketing and stadium-related income. While broadcasting revenues from La Liga saw a decline, enhanced marketing efforts and sponsorship deals, such as the new HP shirt sleeve sponsorship, significantly bolstered the club’s financial performance.
