The New York team cannot catch a break at the moment as they succumb to yet another defeat

The Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Mets in a commanding fashion 6-1 on Sunday night.

It was a one-sided contest all along as the Red Sox opened four-run third inning with seven straight hits. Rafael Devers homered, while Adam Duvall had two of those runs.

Connor Wong had three hit of his own as Boston finished off with a total of 15 to cap off two victories from a three-game series.

“We put the ball in play and had some quality at-bats,” manager Alex Cora said.

With the win the Red Sox currently sit tied with their rival the New York Yankees for the last place in the AL East.
