Robby Fabbri netted two goals, and Lucas Raymond and Patrick Kane sealed the deal in the shootout as the Detroit Red Wings triumphed over the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 on Thursday night.
Fabbri’s second two-goal performance of the season played a crucial role in Detroit breaking a six-game losing streak against Los Angeles. Jeff Petry added to the score for the Red Wings, with Daniel Sprong contributing two assists. Goaltender Alex Lyon made an impressive 40 saves.
Despite trailing 2-0 within the first five minutes, Detroit staged a comeback, securing its third victory in the last four games. Adrian Kempe scored twice for the Kings, marking his second two-goal game in eight days, but it wasn’t sufficient as Los Angeles suffered its fourth consecutive loss. Kempe has tallied eight points in the last six games.
In the shootout, Detroit maintained its perfect record at 2-0 for the season, while Los Angeles struggled with a 1-4 record.
