After the NY Knicks triumphed 113-111 against the Detroit Pistons – mostly because of an obvious missed call with almost 9 seconds on the clock when the Knicks player Donte DiVincenzo plowed into the Pistons’ Ausar Thompson – Detroit manager Monty Williams delivered a tirade over what he labeled as a campaign’s worth of mistreatment from the referees.
Thibs on Monty Williams saying a no-call here was an "abomination": "I don't wanna comment…I haven't watched the film…In general was very physical…Jalen's drives…lot of contact…I was OK w/that b/c…contact the other way…I'm looking for consistency…" pic.twitter.com/1pjMG11UZK

“The absolute worst call of the campaign,” Detroit’s head coach shared a few minutes after the match. Mony arrived in the media room before any reporters could get there and did not answer any questions after sharing his point of view of what happened in the final seconds of the match vs. the Knicks. “No call, and enough is enough. We’ve done what we can do. We’ve called the NBA. We’ve sent videos. We’re tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again.
“Our team had a chance to triumph in the match, and a player dove into Ausur’s legs and there was a no-call. That’s can’t happen. You cannot miss that in an NBA match. Period. And I’m fed up with discussing the referees. I’m tired of my players asking, ‘What more can we do, manager?’ That episode is Exhibit A to what we’ve gone through all campaign long, and it can’t be tolerated anymore.”
“Where’s the New York media now? The absolute worst call of the season… We’ve done it the right way, we’ve called the league, we’ve sent in clips.”
