Kevin Porter Jr recorded 24 points, six rebounds, and three assists and Jabari Smith Jr added 16 points and 11 rebounds as the young core players all contributed in a meaningful way in the victory as the Rockets improved to 7-17 on the season while the 76ers fall to 12-12.
Joel Embiid had another monster night, scoring 39 points and seven rebounds for the 76ers, but he fouled out near the end of the first overtime and thus was unavailable for the final five minutes of the game.

Harden, who last played in a game for Philly on Nov. 2, against the Washington Wizards, added 21 points, four rebounds, and seven assists in the losing effort as he showed some serious signs of rust.
He has been sidelined with a right foot tendon strain, returned against the team he spent the bulk of his career. The Sixers played 14 games in Harden’s absence and went 8-6 during that span.
