La Lupa played whole second half with 10 men

Roma lost 3-4 to Sassuolo in highly-entertainment clash in Serie A at Stadio Olimpico.

Sassuolo made two strikes in four minutes between the 14th and 18th minute. First Armand Lauriente was the goalscorer both times. First he tapped the ball home almost on the goal line after a lucky rebound and just 240 seconds later Domenico Berardi found him inside the box and with a precise shot he doubled the lead.

In the 26th minute Roma pulled one back. Spinazzola passed to Zalewski on the edge of the penalty area and the Polish defender rifled a shot past Consigli.

In the first half stoppage time Marash Kumbulla lost his cool and kicked Berardi while he was on the ground in the box and after VAR review Roma defender was sent off with the cost of a penalty. Berardi took the shot and scored for 1-3.

Just six minutes into the second half Paulo Dybala, who came in as a sub at the break, scored a screamer from outside the box and gave the home side a lifeline.

15 minutes before the end Lauriente assisted to Andrea Pinamonti, who made a nice first-time finish to pull Sassuolo back at two-goal lead. In the stoppage time Wijnaldum lifted the ball over Consigli for the ginal 3-4, which left Roma 5th in the standings, equal with AC Milan, but the Rossoneri have a game in hand.
