Dan Friedkin, the owner of Roma, has surfaced as one of several potential buyers interested in taking over Premier League club Everton. The American businessman, with an estimated net worth of $6.1 billion, is seeking an exclusivity agreement to acquire the 94% stake currently held by Farhad Moshiri.
In addition to Friedkin, other parties vying for control of Everton include MSP Sports Capital and local businessmen Andy Bell and George Downing, who have already loaned the club $200.6 million. Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, and Kenneth King of investment firm A Cap are also reported to be interested in the takeover.
John Textor, co-owner of Crystal Palace, has shown interest in acquiring Everton as well. Textor is looking to sell his 45% stake in Crystal Palace, possibly to facilitate his bid for the Merseyside club.
