The chief (46) shared a surprising move – after it was reported that he would resign today, he did the opposite. He justified his kiss and called out critics during the federation’s general assembly meeting.

“Do you think what happened is so serious that I should leave after the best achievement in Spanish women’s football history?” the president claimed. “To be clear, I’m not going to leave. I’m not going to leave. I’m not going to leave.
“Many people want to see me go in the past week. Someone may be looking to remove me next week. But we live in a country of laws. Is a consensual kiss can be the reason to fire me? I’m going to fight until the end. I hope the law is followed and that as there’s no valid reason to fire me, I will stay as a president of the RFEF.”
