In the 1st set, Andrey converted 2 break points from 7 opportunities, while Humbert had a single chance to break the Russian’s serve but missed it and lost the set 6-2.
In the 2nd set, Rublev continued to show that he was the better player in the match, and while allowing Ugo to break his serve, he did it 3 times from 3 chances – a 100% successful rate at break point opportunities and won the 2nd set 6-3.
In the ½ final at the Masters 1000 in Shanghai, the Russian will play vs. Grigor Dimitrov, who eliminated the top seed at the tournament – Carlos Alcaraz at the 1/8 finals.
Throwback to the moment Andrey Rublev declared his love for Grigor Dimitrov earlier this year.
Andrey: “I almost fell in love with you.” 😂
The bromance that keeps on giving.
